The client to surprise
Founded in 2003, the University of Luxembourg is the only public university in the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. A multilingual, international, research-oriented university which is in the heart of Europe, it is a resolutely modern institution, very conscious of the world challenges and eager to prepare its students for that.
THE TRIBUTES OF AN INSTITUTION
When we were proposed an event as a tribute to a prominent member of the University of Luxembourg who had been participating to its creation and development, we entered into the very heart of a flagship institution, still young but already with very deep values.
The challenge ahead
The University of Luxembourg called on us to organise a ceremony to pay tribute and say farewell to Rolf Tarrach, the Rector from 2005 to 2014 who had been a major actor in the university development, in presence of students, staff members and teachers.
What we imagined
We combined a retrospective about the university history during Rolf Tarrach governance, interventions and sober animations on stage, realised thanks to light projections and punctuated by photo and video contents including a testimony. The 600 guests attended a dynamic event full of emotions and surprises in accordance with the man’s nature who was celebrated.
Creating, writing the script, shooting and editing the “testimony” video just a few hours before the event started, was a real race against the clock. But we couldn’t do without because it was the key point of the ceremony and was emotionally very highly charged.
