The client to surprise

As a public-private joint venture between the Luxembourg governement and the world’s largest operator of broadcast satellites SES, GovSat delivers secure, reliable and accessible satellite communication services for governmental or institutional users.

SUMMIT NETWORKING

The expectations in terms of organisation, logistics and technics regarding this event were particularly strategic since they were supposed to promote a fluid dissemination of information, a smooth speaking time, exchange and sharing to meet the interactive dimension required by GovSat.

The challenge ahead

With 400 guests for their conference about defence and security in Europe, GovSat intended to offer an exchange and a discussion platform to international actors specialised in satellites as well as governmental or institutional actors in order to present the major trends and create an important networking event for the European community.

What we imagined

The 2019 edition was held at the ECCL and made to highlight the developments and future prospects of EU GOVSATCOM with an agenda focused on the recent institutional updates, examples of use, integrated applications, cybersecurity threats and required solutions, perspectives for users as well as an enlarged vision of the geopolitical situation.

We were in charge of the organisation of both the plenary and the closing evening and we wrote all the requirement and specifications including the technical and logistics needs for the whole event, from the reception of guests to the creation of the various elements of branding.

In order to magnify the decoration, we had also proposed original design furniture as a perfect setting to highlight the discussions, the keynotes and the presentations keeping with the goals of the conference. The setting was dividing up space efficiently, particularly the one dedicated to networking around the partners stands according to our layout plan.

The most important point for such major summits is to find the right balance between what is given and what is received, that is between information and talks, conferences and exchanges.
