Charity in the light of the roaring twenties
Refinement and social action are not mutually exclusive. It is exactly the opposite that happens when they meet and share the same energy, the same magic during an exclusive event: the Red Cross Ball. With this in mind, we have accompanied the Organising Committee to make this unforgettable evening an exceptional moment, matching the ambition of the Red Cross to make the world a better place.
The client to surprise
Since 1996, every two years, the Red Cross Ball in Luxembourg has been bringing together special guests and individual donors for an exceptional gala evening during which each and all are thanked for their implication and funds are collected to enable the continuing actions of the association. Over the years, the Ball has been even more successful.
The challenge ahead
The Red Cross has called for our expertise in order to provide the Committee with logistic and operational support. We have therefore put all our know-how into the staging and the technical organisation of the event that took place at the Tramsschaap.
Themed on the Roaring Twenties, our main inspiration to imagine the exceptional setting for this exclusive event was the visual created by the couturier Christian Lacroix on the invitation-card. We therefore took up a combination of gold and black to conceive an elegant atmosphere and settings inspired by the Art Deco spirit.
“At the beginning, our ambition for this charity evening was quite modest. We just wanted to give a higher visibility to the Red Cross’ action. Over the years and thanks to a strong mobilisation of all the actors, we have managed to make the Red Cross Ball an important evening for fundraising and a big reward for all donors and volunteers.“

What we imagined
Above them, right in the middle of the ceiling, a beautiful crystal chandelier was facing an elegant visual artwork straight out of the art deco style and a starry background. All around it, big kakemonos with patterns in the pure styling of the Roaring Twenties framed in glittering hangings helped to structure the whole as a precious setting to live a unique experience out of space and time.
During the dinner, the auction held by Artcurial and conducted by Stéphane Bern raised numerous pledges in addition to the silent auctions that were instantly displayed on screens thanks to the iPads on each table.
